On Sunday, June 15, 2025, our locked truck—equipped with anti-theft protection—was stolen from the parking lot of this hotel at approximately 2:39 AM. There were no signs of forced entry or broken glass. We discovered the theft the following morning and initially assumed the truck had been towed, even though we had waited nearly two hours the previous day just to check in and pay $30 for a parking permit, specifically to avoid being towed while attending a nearby event at NRG Stadium.
When we spoke to the manager on duty, he confirmed the truck had not been towed and casually suggested it had been stolen—emphasizing that this was not the hotel's responsibility. We requested to view surveillance footage, but were told we could not see it ourselves and that the IT team would need to review it the following day, Monday, when they returned to work. Unfortunately, upon inspecting the parking lot ourselves, it was evident that the one camera that might have had visibility of our truck was completely obstructed by a tree. Nearby cameras were hanging down and appeared non-functional.
The manager seemed unconcerned that their security system was ineffective. He was unhelpful, dismissive, and offered no real guidance. He handed me a card with only his email address—no phone number—and walked away.
To date, the truck has not been recovered. Neither the hotel nor Houston PD has offered meaningful support. Based on how quickly the thieves disabled all of the vehicle’s tracking and theft systems, it's clear these are professionals—and this parking lot may be a frequent target.
If you value your vehicle or belongings, I strongly advise against staying or parking at this hotel. The lack of working security cameras, indifferent staff, and absence of support after a serious crime are not worth the convenience of being within walking distance of the NRG venue.

The ONLY good thing for this hotel is location if you’re attending an event at NRG stadium. We showed up to check in at 4:30pm when check in began at 3pm. We waited in a huge line of people also checking in for an hour in the hot humid lobby. Our event started at 6:00, didn’t get up to our room until 5:30 and still had to get ready. Missed the opening act. There was no refrigerator, no microwave and no working ice machine on our floor, those are all basic amenities. The king bed had a divot in the middle. Thankfully the a/c worked good in our room. We paid over $500 to stay ONE night for a Morgan Wallen concert. This hotel needs serious updates and renovations if they’re going to charge this much. Like I said the only positive feedback I have is location. 10 min walk to NRG Stadium.

My family and I stayed here June 13–14 for the Metallica concert. The location is convenient and within walking distance to the stadium, which we appreciated. However, our experience overall was disappointing.
We were charged $30 for parking on Saturday—even though we were hotel guests—because of the concert. When we asked the front desk about it, they said it was “concert parking,” which didn’t make sense since we were already staying there. The hotel was also charging $50 for public parking and allowing non-guests to park anywhere, so we felt pressured not to leave for dinner in case we lost our spot.
Another issue was the breakfast buffet. It looked like a standard hotel buffet, so like many other guests, we assumed it was complimentary. Only after helping ourselves and halfway through the meal did we learn it was $18 per person. There were no signs posted with pricing, which was misleading.
Unfortunately, the lack of clear communication and guest consideration overshadowed the convenience of the location. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.

The two and a half stars they have are people being nice! The location was good for what we were there for. But walking into this hotel, a strange stale smell of mildew greets you immediately. You can tell it’s a very old building that needs updating. The staff have not been the most helpful, and breakfast is not included like most hotels they have restaurants that you have to pay for, not included with the stay!! Beds are very small like full size beds. They didn’t put enough towels in our room, elevator makes you feel like you’re not going to get off! And there’s no laundry on site which is very inconvenient because my child has basketball tournaments the entire weekend across at the NRG CENTER!! And I was kept up all night from the loudness of children outside past midnight! This hotel is very misleading and I would not recommend! Never again will I put my family in this situation! After driving 8 hours!

Absolutely terrible. Avoid.
Q for checkin was an hour. Car parks had been sold to concert goers so they could make a quick buck, leaving us guests to park far away.
Couldn't find the stairwell (to avoid the queue for the elevators), no map, asked reception who didn't know and didn't care.
Not even a mini fridge in the room.
No hot water in shower. Which is beyond tiny.
Room front door lock doesn't work so propped our suitcases against it.
Basically a death trap. Do not stay here.
