The two and a half stars they have are people being nice! The location was good for what we were there for. But walking into this hotel, a strange stale smell of mildew greets you immediately. You can tell it’s a very old building that needs updating. The staff have not been the most helpful, and breakfast is not included like most hotels they have restaurants that you have to pay for, not included with the stay!! Beds are very small like full size beds. They didn’t put enough towels in our room, elevator makes you feel like you’re not going to get off! And there’s no laundry on site which is very inconvenient because my child has basketball tournaments the entire weekend across at the NRG CENTER!! And I was kept up all night from the loudness of children outside past midnight! This hotel is very misleading and I would not recommend! Never again will I put my family in this situation! After driving 8 hours!

I never leave a review but feel like this place needs one. The Location if you are attending an event at the NRG is wonderful but I would rather be a little further away then to have to stay here again.
First thing walking into door there was a terrible odor. Set up of the room was very nice. The odor is just horrible and then the rooms are so hot. We adjusted on the unit and went to our event and come back to a hot box of a room still. Went to bathe and No hot water,NONE at 12:00 at night. There was hair on the towels, linen did not smell fresh blankets included. Minor detail but there choices for channels on the tv is horrible. We waited over an hour for extra pillows. The only thing I can half way compliment was the staff was some what friendly but that was only the ones at front desk all others was not. Hate I have to leave a bad review but try your luck at another place

We stayed as a family of 4 for one night. Check in was easy and service was friendly. However, as soon as we walked down the halls, there was a weird odor. It was even worse when we got to our room. It almost smelt like pee or water damage. Cockroaches greeted us at our door as it seems they were also staying at the hotel.
Pros: Loved the room size, patio, and view of the pool.
Cons: Room was not up to standard as far as cleanliness. Walls had noticeable stains/spills/dirt. Various parts of the room had broken items (fridge door, blinds). The tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while.
Woke up the next morning with a baby cockroach in the bed. Immediately got up, packed, and left. Will NOT stay here again. I would rather stay in a cleaner hotel, farther away from the venue.

As I write this as a warning as someone that’s is currently wide awake at midnight sitting in an incredibly HOT room. As someone who has asthma it’s harder to breath in the heat. So I currently won’t be sleeping tonight. And I already switched to a different room hoping it was just my room with broken A/C. But NOPE. I was told that all the room are supposedly like this. Don’t stay here.

With what I paid for is not what I got. The room and the hotel is very outdated and run down. The photos they have posted make it look like it’s a kept up hotel but it is not. If it may be an older hotel I understand but to allow it to look outdated like it does is not ok. I reserved a suit the room was hot, got moved to another room that is hot as well. The bed size is a joke if you are with someone and expect to sleep in the same bed very , very small beds. They have no maintenance on site. The rooms are very outdated, as well the shower was not hot it was cool water. I will not be staying again. The front desk however they are very nice. I can’t even click on a topic on how to describe the hotel because it is none of those.
