I DO NOT RECOMMEND The staff is amazing; everyone we crossed paths with during our one-week stay was helpful and kind. Kudos to all of them; we appreciate you! We like Tru chain because is carpet free rooms, which makes easier to keep clean. Not this one, the conditions of the rooms we were assigned to are poor, with inadequate cleaning and maintenance. The first one was huge and so mouldy that the entire wallpaper was falling off the bathroom walls, showing the dark spots. After the hurdle, we found out through Google reviews that only a couple of days before our initial stay, someone was assigned to the same bad room, and the management response committed to putting the unit out of order for further investigation and resolution. Clearly, that did not happen. The room we ended up staying in was really dirty (photos), less mouldy, but the smell was still heavy. The walls are full of patch-ups and stains. The elevator hallway on the second floor was dirty from the day we arrived to the day we left. It seemed like construction had happened at some point, and leftover debris was left behind. The breakfast was as conventional as any other Tru we’ve been to. We don’t know how this hotel has received so many good reviews; maybe we were just not as lucky. In any way, when in the area again, it definitely won’t be a choice.

We stayed at this hotel due to a family emergency so the choice had to be made quickly and on short notice. We were immediately impressed by the customer service and especially the positive attitudes and helpfulness of all of the staff. The excellent service continued through our entire stay (4 nights). There was very little choice for rooms so we got the smallest (one double bed). It was REALLY small with little space to put anything other than yourself! Our room was clean, although we knew another couple that was staying on another floor and they mentioned some mold in their shower near the ceiling.. The food was typical for this level of hotel, but again the service made the most of it as everything was well stocked and serviced regularly by a very attentive employee with a great attitude. Overall and given the circumstances we were happy that we stayed here. People truly do make the difference and this hotel is a perfect example of that. Our thanks to all of those we interacted with during our stay.

Room was small than wife's hospital room and furniture was at hospital was better. No microwave, other than communal in lobby. Ice bucket in stack next to ice machine, our second floor didn't have any. Had to go back to front desk to get the king room that we had reserved. Lucky us got one next to elevator lobby. Bed was worse than the one at hunting camp. Housekeeping did a good job on room and water was hot. Really cant believe Hilton put their name on this, guess just signs of the times.

Dear Hilton Guest Relations At check-in, I was assisted by an associate named Jonathan. I provided my military ID and inquired about a military discount. I was informed that Jonathan did not have the authorization or access to apply the discount and that the next associate on duty would be able to assist me. I was also told that only a $1.00 authorization would be placed on my card. Despite this, no one followed up with me as stated. I called the front desk at approximately 6:00 a.m. and spoke with a female associate who was dismissive and advised that she also could not assist me. She stated that, to her knowledge, the hotel does not offer a military discount and instructed me to call back at 7:30 a.m. I looked at my transaction and to my surprise there was a charge of $178.64 pending. When I called back at 7:32 a.m., I spoke with the manager, MyCne. Unfortunately, this interaction was the most troubling. She was rude, confrontational, and repeatedly questioned whether I was active duty, stating over and over that I “must be an active member.” I have never been subjected to this type of questioning at any Hilton property, nor was her tone appropriate or professional. It's hard to believe that MyCne is a part of management. As a Diamond member, I expect a higher standard of service, professionalism, and staff training. The lack of consistency, misinformation, and the manner in which I was treated—particularly by management—is unacceptable. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and addressed accordingly.

The hotel is located in a very nice part of town with restaurants within walking distance. I suggest trying Floyd’s. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds and hotel were clean and in order. The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
