My experience with this contractor was nothing short of terrible.
The contract was to install the landscape which include 5 flowerbeds, minor grading, bordering borders for the fences, and build a 12 x 15 deck with one custom angle and four 6 x 6 posts (upgraded from 4x4 in which Mr Summerlin said it would be ok at no extra cost) for the future installation of a pergola. However, Sean Summerlin did a horrible job for building the deck. They built my deck without proper measuring with string-line which caused the deck to have the back side against the house shorter than the opposing side. This is now no longer a rectangular deck. The four 6x6 posts were also put in without proper alignment with each other. The overall construction of the frame of the deck was not up to standard neither as he used no joint braces and proper supports. I again raised a concern with him and tell him that we need a serious discussion of the issue. Instead of offering an apology and telling me how he will fix it, he decided that he needed to leave and tell his crews to clean up and go. Later on today, he did offer me a new condition stating that either I downgrade to a 4x4 posts and he will fix the deck or he will charge me more if I tried to keep the 6x6 posts that he messed up. Without an apology and an offer to own up to his mistakes, he offer me a new contract in which if I keep the original posts, I would have to pay more. He did asked me how he could put his crews through the hassles of fixing the original posts. So this only meant that he chose to rather have his customer paid more for the project than telling his crews to fix his mistakes. I decided to move on with another contractor for professionalism, ethics, and better service.

I had Sean install a drain, flowerbed, and re-sodded after the drought/freeze killed our yard. He was very accommodating and gave us a few different options. He and his crew were able to get everything finished up in one day! He was on time, did it right, and was very reasonably priced. Next landscaping project we have, I will be giving him a call!

Sean did an excellant job redoing our flowerbeds, creating new ones and installing the landscape lighting. He fixed the drainage issue we had on the side of our house. He was prompt, courteous and very reasonably priced. The job was completed on time. The lighting he created really accents the yard. I would highly recommend Sean and will definitely use him in the future. Debbie K.

I have used Sean Summerlin since 2015 just after purchasing my home. The grounds were very lush to begin with having multiple palm trees, sago palms, oleanders, roses, bird of paradise, multiple shrubs, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a water feature. Sean assisted me in creating a simplified vision for the yard. He removed some plants and incorporated others to bring harmony to the space and each year he has fresh ideas to continue to bring beauty to the yard. Sean is very knowledgeable about plants, trees and irrigation systems. I enjoy working with Sean and his team.
