I stayed at the Ramada near George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) for one night during a layover. Check-in was smooth and professional, with friendly front desk staff who were efficient despite the late hour. The location is convenient for airport access, and the room rate was reasonable for the area.
Unfortunately, the positives ended there. I woke up in the middle of the night to find several cockroaches crawling on the floor and nightstand. Even worse, there were tiny baby cockroaches scattered across the room. The infestation was unmistakable and deeply disturbing. I spent the rest of the night unable to sleep comfortably, constantly checking for more.
The room itself appeared clean at first glance, but the presence of roaches and their offspring suggests serious maintenance and pest control issues. For a hotel so close to a major airport that relies on traveler traffic, this level of infestation is unacceptable.
I would not recommend this property to anyone. While the check-in experience was fine, the health and comfort risks from the cockroaches make it impossible to overlook. Save yourself the stress and look for better options near IAH.

The manager Antonio Chamorro and the man at the front desk during the day have nasty attitude’s, are racist, liars and don’t care about their customers. My family was in the rain for five hours because the front desk lied and said our room would be available and it was not. The manager then stepped in and did not try to fix the problem. Instead, he wanted to be a jerk and insist that I was not getting my money back for the hotel and if I didn’t pay $100 deposit that was not mentioned when I booked the hotel that I was still going to lose my money. Also, they were letting other people of course of a different race than I in their room’s early and providing better customer service. I’ve worked at Ramada and I’ve stayed at several Ramada’s and this was the worst. This Ramada could be better if they had a different manager and another Person at the front desk during the day. They also need people there that speak English because I couldn’t even get towels.

The room was clean for the most part. Someone left two dried out contact lens on the night stand next to the bed. I am guessing that house cleaning did not clean the night stand. The room had a very unsettling order, which smelled better than the hallway or elevator. The elevator has a smell of animal feces. The hotel is dated and can use some updated but it is good for the price. Minus the order. It would help a lot of the owner would invest in some air fresheners and a good cleaning crew. The dining room was comfortable and the food arrived to the table hot but the server/bartender could use a bit more patients. I tipped above 15% of the check because I was once a server myself. But the service he gave was not worth that 15%. Needless to say, without paying over 100.00 for a one night stay, this is the best that you might get in this area.
Now, I don't not want to forget the ladies at the front desk. They were attentive and accommodating after I informed them about the strong smell of gasoline near the ice machine.

Old hotel but still good. The bedding and towels were clean. I did not notice any smell. Water pressure was a little low and water was not very hot but good enough . The room had a small strange stain / liquid on the floor that’s my only complaint. The shuttle service is great value. Would stay again.

I appreciate this hotel and their crew. Lucy, the free shuttle and everyone. They made sure my disabled mom(who was left at the airport by united) was ok. They even took her to breakfast and back to her room. They nice kind and welcoming. Room was clean and nice. Recommended 100%. Best people.
