best authentic food here and great lunch special. i just did not expect the mojitos to have changed the price so high. and did not see that price reflected on the menu. sucks because i could have tipped that instead of paying double for the drink. i feel a little duped because even their weekend menu is less than what they charged my drink.
i was only handed one menu during Wednesday lunch listed with happy hour prices at 1pm. at least tell me i’m not looking at the right price so i can change my decision
i wanted to check again on the menu on my way out. none of the menu photos on Google state $14 for a mojito

This was my first time at this spot and I can say that I was very impressed by the food and the service. I love Dominican food and being puerto rican myself, this food reminded me of home! Everything was delicious and fresh. Had great flavor and very authentic! The place is small so be ready when you walk in but totally worth it !

Excellent flavor of pork shoulder. The empanadas were great. We got a beef and a chicken one and for dessert we got the flan which was superb. Service was excellent. Took great care of us. Will be back when in town

This is a great little spot. You are welcomed in the moment you walk in. The staff is nice and attentive. The food is delicious. The menu does not have prices, which I don’t like, so be careful when you order. But the food comes out fresh, hot and delicious. I had their oxtails today. Perfectly seasoned and flavorful. They are well known for the goat too. The restaurant is nice and quaint. It does get busy but at 11am it’s pretty quiet. The restaurant is clean. And if you are celebrating a birthday, let them know. They play the birthday songs and bring out a slice of dessert. You have to try them out!!

Incredible. I ordered the Pollo Guisada with white rice and red beans and a side of avocado. Plate presentation was beautiful. The chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. I wish we had Dominican food like this where I live in California! I will definitely be back at this place during my next visit to Houston. Also the service was fantastic. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
