I had a very frustrating experience with this property. I booked a room online and was quoted a $50 deposit over the phone before arrival. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the front desk suddenly changed the deposit requirement to $100 because the booking was made online.
This policy was never communicated beforehand.
Because of this unexpected change, I informed the front desk that I could not proceed with the stay. The staff also stated that they were unable to honor the verbal agreement. Is Private owned so it was up-to-date discretion they could’ve honored that they chose not to.
The front desk employee was extremely rude and disrespectful during the situation, raising her voice and accusing me of lying while speaking to both me and the Booking.com representative on the phone.
I spent over an hour trying to resolve the situation with customer support, but the hotel refused to cooperate with the refund process even though the reservation could not be honored.
Overall, the experience was unprofessional and stressful. I would recommend travelers confirm deposit policies before booking because they may be different from what is communicated beforehand. They are rude and disrespectful. It’s not worth spending your hard earned money to stay at a place your unwanted. They will end up pocketing my money and reselling the room anyway. Terrible customer service.

Had I known this establishment existed when I first started visiting my little girls in Katy/Cypress area, driving from the oilfields about once a month for two/three years now, I would be a very happy and regular guest at the Palace Inn. Supremely clean. New, modern look. Comfortable bed. And other little amenities that I hope for... I hope to stay regularly as I come to visit my girls, and not just for a day or two, but the whole time I'm here.
I also want to convey how polite the office folk were to me, explained everything clearly and answered any questions I had. And lastly, there's nothing that the larger chains I've stayed at have offered that the Palace Inn didn't offer, also, as far as comfort and safety. Thanks for a good night's rest!
PS: I received my deposit less than an hour after checkout. No problem.

I stayed at this hotel for one night.
I took the 2 queen bed and the stay was horrible from the beginning to the end.
The front desk Indian lady at night was so rude and ignorant. Got up early in the morning to get breakfast since they advertised breakfast included. Orange juice available and 4 crackers.
The room look nice and updated but was very dusty and you could tell they cleaning was not done before our arrival.
The worst part of all is that management and workers don’t know customers service at all. They are rude, impolite and not knowledgeable. I got charged another 6$ saying I checked out at 11:19 am . Like who does that? I should have stick with the Marriott but was too far from them. Please do yourself a favor!!!
Go elsewhere!!!

My stay was absolutely horrible and it all started with the Front desk clerk. She was rude & ignorant. First, she was very adamant about the rule that I could have no guests in my room but myself. I booked my reservation online for myself only. I had to reassure her of this fact twice and she clearly saw me drive up in my SUV alone. Second, she almost made me swear on a bible that I don’t smoke when I clearly requested a non-smoking room online in my reservation. I was very offended because she said Management wanted to make sure that there were no bad people coming into their establishment. Third, I was assessed an additional $50 deposit fee in addition to the $75 price of the room which was very basic & clean but in my opinion not up to par because my deadbolt lock didn’t work on my door & I had to request another room. And I’m quite sure I won’t see my $50 deposit returned to my card in seven days as promised. I’m employed at a prominent law firm downtown & am relocating to Houston and I just needed what I thought would be a nice place to stay the night but I was truly mistaken. Needless to say, I won’t be back.
