We had not eaten at Lopez in a while and I won’t go back. The chili gravy had almost no flavor. I will say that there was a lot of chicken in the enchilada and the quality of the meat was good, but it did not taste good. Last time we went I got the Spanish/red sauce and was disappointed in it so I got the chili gravy this time. Their sauces do not have a lot of flavor. I have never gone to eat Mexican food and received food this bland anywhere in the Houston area.
I ate one enchilada and the rice and I am feeding the chicken from the other two enchiladas to the dogs. You can see in the picture below that there is almost no sauce on the enchilada. My son drove back to Lopez Mexican Restaurant to get sauce but unfortunately it did not help. Waste of money.

My BMW advisor suggested this place & the shuttle brought me here while I waited for my vehicle to be serviced. Outstanding service , quality food & very good Drinks + Family owned. The Steak had NO FAT & Homemade tortillas - that you can watch being made. This place is a MUST TRY - if you are in the area.
(The area the restaurant is in is iffy but right near the expressway & dealers.)

So the food looks amazing , but it did lack a little bit more flavor than I’m used to , it was good though . Absolutely loved loved their salsa . Not your traditional tortillas ,a little on the thin and crispy side . Pricing seems great for how much food you’re getting . I think overall place was great but just didn’t have much of like that popping flavor you’d expect .

This may be the best Mexican food in the area. It has a nice feel and the service was also excellent. I came because the ratings were high. It was worth it!

So i have eaten here many many times, but the time before this one, we got kind of sick. It just seems the food is very heavy. This last time, I ordered 2 different foods just to see. What I discovered was that the fajita beef enchiladas made me nausea. The other just beef enchilada was fine. Also, one plate of two enchiladas almost $17?? It's just not worth it anymore. Find a different place.
