I booked for one king size superior room and they gave me an upgrade. I thought it was something nice. It was mowed in my room. You could smell it on the third floor soon as you get off the elevator so if they try to give you an upgrade to a better room that’s what makes it sound so good don’t take it and they also don’t tell you you have to do a $50 deposit and if you pay with your car you don’t get it back till three business days

Rat motel and they refuse to refund me for at least 4nights! I posted pictures of exposed boxes indoors. I was suppose to stay 6 nights. I never stayed there one night due to me being uncomfortable. The rooms were too old the water smelled so bad! Also I lost my appetite at breakfast, when the lady serving food used her the same gloves to clean the tables and served food😖by far the worst Laquinta I have ever stayed at! Stay away!

My fiancé and I stayed here for 9 days, and unfortunately, our experience was very upsetting. Management unexpectedly knocked on our door and told us we had to leave. By the time I went to the front desk to ask what was going on, the police had already been called. As a young Black couple, this was extremely stressful and felt unnecessary.
Throughout our stay, I felt singled out and nitpicked by a manager whose behavior toward us felt very different from what I saw toward other guests. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When the police arrived, they reviewed everything and said I was allowed to stay because my reservation was prepaid and I had not violated any rules.
Overall, the staff interactions were unfriendly, and the environment did not feel inclusive or welcoming. This was one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I’ve had, and based on my experience, I would not stay here again.

The only redeeming quality this place has is that the bbq place across the street had good food. Never book third party because they will pull a bait and switch on you saying that the room you booked isn’t available and they can’t do anything about it because you booked third party. Will never book with La Quinta as a brand ever again.

The manager showed a clear lack of professionalism and customer service. There was no proper greeting at check-in, no effort to make guests feel welcomed, and overall a very nonchalant attitude.
I called about a sheet issue in my room and was told to come to the lobby to get extras — which was fine. But when I arrived just moments later, no one was there to assist. After waiting, the manager appeared and handed me some old sheets with zero courtesy. It felt like I was inconveniencing him by asking for something basic. If you’re in a role that involves customer care, act like it — or consider a different position.
The room itself was decent, though the walls are thin and you can hear quite a bit. The elevators could use maintenance, and the lobby had a strange smell that lingered.
I’m not expecting a five-star experience at this price point — but I do expect basic respect, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment. La Quinta can absolutely do better.
