I don’t understand why this hotel has a rating of 3.4 because honestly it should be rated a 4.5! My girls and I stayed at this hotel for Mother’s Day weekend and we had the best time here in Houston and our stay was phenomenal!! Juanita was the concierge that helped us when we checked in and she was nice and generous! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, cozy, and clean hotel to stay in. I’m definitely coming back! I definitely love how there’s warm coffee with sugar of your choice and different selections of creamers throughout the whole day. Ohhh and their cucumber and watermelon drinks are the best too!! Thank you La Quinta Inn & Suitee by Wyndham Houston East at Normandy!!! I absolutely loved my stay!! :)

We have been staying here every weekend for almost a month. When we checked out last week, we spoke with the manager about reservations for this weekend in the room we had. The MANAGER reserved our room for us. Check in today (Sunday) and check out (Tuesday) Upon arrival the clerk said we don’t have a room that she rented it to someone and that they don’t do “reservations” for rooms 👀 My husband told her it was pre arranged our card on file and a reservation number that includes that room. She basically said he was wrong and the manager that had made our reservation was wrong, that they don’t reserve certain rooms. But…. She could put us in the other suite because that person wasn’t here yet, said it’s a first come first serve. The person who reserved the other suite is our 70 year old coworker and this clerk wanted to kick her out of her room and give it to us. We passed, words were exchanged. We canceled our reservation at 2:00pm, because of the booking issue and she said the hotel doesn’t offer early check in- even though there was a sign sitting in front of her face that said “early check in $30.00. She then proceeded to say she was still going to charge us because it was close to check in. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. Now to boot the horse in the butt, the 70 year old co worker called and asked about her room and the clerk said “YES WE HAVE THE ROOM YOU RESERVED LAST WEEK READY FOR YOU” the same room she stayed in last week!! Go ahead and call Wyndham on us like you said you would, please do! Let them see how people are reserving rooms and PAYING for them and you are giving them to other people and then saying we won’t get our money back! Make sure you tell them how you also was arguing with a group of people who were booked for a funeral and you charged them a late check in fee? That my husband paid for them! (Manager gave money back and apologized) The same manager that booked our suite for tonight! All of us but 2 people cancelled our rooms there for the remaining of our time down here in Houston.

I was over charge for the room #226 clean room but a real shitty 😒 view. Getting back to the overcharging for the room. Room was $111.00 plus $50.00 deposit for a total of $161.00 receipt from hotel said $161.00 but my bank statement shows $193.00 debit from La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. Complaint to the Desk Clerk but he was no help at all only refunded mi the $ 161.00. I personally think they're running some type of scam where they charge you extra but there's no record of the extra $ they charge you on the hotel receipt but your bank account 🤔 charge isn't the same as there

Hard beds with thin blankets = crappy sleep. The staff also makes a lot of noise at odd hours, especially around 5 am with vacuuming and moving furniture. However, it is clean and the breakfast is good.

I have used this company over the past few years when traveling. Moved back to Texas after being out of the army and was looking into hotels. After being low on gas and waiting for funds to hit my bank account in the lobby, employee told me that if I was not going to pay for a room that minute, I had to leave or wait out in the cold. Very inconsiderate and lacked emotional intelligence/professionalism. This happened Friday January 3rd at about 6:00am at the Houston location. 👎
