It was a great place to stay and super friendly besides understanding. They had a great breakfast too ..Super close to restaurants, premium outlets and more which made it even better for us since we are not from Cypress, Texas. I would definitely stay there again. Sheryl was great to help us out when we checked in after having a crappy day on Thursday, sweetest lady. All staff were really nice and helpful.

Our stay at La Quinta was extremely disappointing. During our visit, the shower door came off its track and fell onto my son while he was taking a shower. Thankfully, he wasn't seriously injured, but it could have ended much worse.
What made this experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled afterward. I called multiple times and sent emails to the General Manager (CHARYL GARDNER), but received no response. It wasn't until I left negative reviews and contacted corporate that I finally got a reply.
Instead of taking responsibility or showing genuine concern, the GM responded by email with what felt like a dismissive attitude, suggesting the incident wasn't as serious as we reported. There was no urgency, no meaningful apology, and no indication that guest safety was being taken seriously. It left us feeling like we were being treated as though we were exaggerating or not telling the truth.
When a heavy glass shower door falls on a child, the focus should be on the guest's safety and making things right—not ignoring the issue until corporate gets involved.
I hope La Quinta takes guest safety more seriously in the future and ensures that management responds promptly and professionally when incidents like this occur. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

The staff were helpful and the facilities were clean, but there was a profusion of intense smells walking from the lobby to my room, some very unpleasant. The beds and pillows were extra firm. The shower door was fixed to the wall near the fixtures, so I had to stand in the shower and freeze in the spray until I figured out how to adjust the temperature. There was a large stain on the bedsheet. For the price point, I expected more. The partially redeeming factor was the free breakfast. It was generous and tasty. Who can argue with a Texas-shaped waffle?

I do not recommend this hotel because they do not care about customer service. On Monday, July 6, around 11:00 PM, we arrived to ask if there were two rooms available. A friendly young woman told us that there were rooms. We mentioned that we wanted to go to dinner and asked if we could make the reservation when we returned. She said that would be fine, as there were plenty of rooms.
When we came back, a man was at the front desk. We tried to check in, but he told us there were no rooms available. When we insisted that there were rooms, he reluctantly checked us in. This receptionist was rude and seemed uninterested in his job.
After settling into our room, my husband went downstairs for water. The same receptionist was treating another customer the same way, claiming there were no rooms available, even though that customer had a reservation. As a business owner, I can see that this employee does not care about his work; he is just there for a paycheck.
If the owner or manager is reading this: you should not keep this type of employee. He drives customers away and does not help your business.
