Excellent place to stay. Safe, clean and lots of amenities. Only down side was refrigerator not readily accessible and no microwave at all in the rooms. Only one microwave in the lobby that wasn't accessible since they had a reservation in that area during the time I needed it. I loved the complimentary bath supplies.

Should have taken the hint! It's a very nice property. The rooms are exactly what you'd expect. Everything appears to be in great repair. The amenities are really comfortable - on-site restaurant/bar is pricey but cozy. There's plenty of parking.
If quiet is really important to you, this may not be your place - it's immediately next to the freeway and the traffic is quite audible. There may be sections of the hotel where this is less prevalent, so if it's important, mention it as you check in.
The unforgivable one-star thing is having been woken up two very early mornings of my three day stay by a fire alarm. This may not be the fault of the hotel, if the system is working correctly, but it doesn't matter. I'm not frog marching out at what the heck AM every second night, no matter the reason. While I leave with some regrets, I will definitely not lose sleep over the decision.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Houston West, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth every star! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From the moment I walked in, I felt like royalty. The staff greeted me with such warmth, I almost asked if they were related to the sun! ☀️ The lobby was so grand, I half expected to see a red carpet rolled out just for me. 🎬
Room Service: The room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable, I thought I was sleeping on a cloud. I even checked for wings in the morning! 🛌😴 The room service was top-notch; they brought my food faster than a speeding bullet. I guess they have superpowers! 🦸♂️🍽️
Dining: The restaurant served food that was so delicious, I considered moving in permanently. The chef must have a direct line to flavor town! 🍔🌮 The breakfast buffet was so extensive, I felt like I was on a culinary world tour. 🌍🍳
Amenities: The pool area was a tropical paradise. I almost forgot I was in Houston and thought I had been teleported to Hawaii. 🏝️🏊♂️ The fitness center had everything I needed to work off the extra pounds from the amazing food. I think I left with more muscles than I arrived with! 💪🏋️♂️
Service: The staff were incredibly attentive. They anticipated my needs before I even knew I had them. I started wondering if they were mind readers! 🧠🔮
Location: The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions, making it easy to explore the city. I felt like a tourist with a VIP pass! 🎟️🗺️
Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Regency Houston West was nothing short of spectacular. If you're looking for a place that combines luxury, comfort, and a touch of magic, this is the spot. Just be prepared to feel like a superstar! 🌟✨

Stayed here for a work trip and everything was fine. The lobby was very nice, but that is about where the praise ends.
Issues:
1. The rooms are dated and the hotel has little to no hot water. There were six rooms taken by co-workers as we were all travelling to the Houston area and we all had the same issue with the water.
2. As mentioned in other reviews, it's really difficult to actually call and speak with someone at the hotel as Hyatt has a central call center and, after a 20 minute loop, I was finally redirected to the desk just to get a voice message.
3. Had something delivered to the hotel in error after I left (totally my fault), but called 10 mins after I received notification the items were delivered. Was told they didn't see anything even though I had a picture showing exactly where it was delivered. Was told they use a 3rd party to have left stuff delivered. It has been weeks and the items still have not shipped AND was charged $42 ground delivery on a small package to have it sent back to me. Seriously?
4. Breakfast buffet was $24...for a bunch of rubbery pancakes and other food I could have made in a microwave, and probably better.
I have since been contacted by the 3rd party "Find my stuff" company they contract with stating I need to contact the hotel to find out why they haven't shipped the item they finally confirmed they had. I am so over this place that I am not even going to bother trying to get someone at the desk and am instead wasting my time writing a well deserved review. I will never stay here again and will advise my peers of the same.

The hotel atmosphere never fails to provide a nice view, relaxing sounds of the waterfalls, huge coy pond/stream running across the lobby.
You can feed the fish during the day w packets provided by the front desk.
Check in is fast. Staff is very courteous and respectful. Rooms are clean, linens are fresh and new, There are plenty of outlets in the room. The only downside is no fridge or microwave avaliable.
The interior restaurant and snack/coffee bar are a great convenience. You don't really have to leave the hotel to eat or drink.
