While some of the staff members were pleasant, my stay was completely overshadowed by a stressful lack of transparency regarding their pet policy. One staff member in particular was very difficult to deal with; she explicitly promised me at check-in that I would only be charged the pet fee for a single night, but when I received my bill at check-out, I discovered she had gone ahead and charged me for both nights anyway. It took a significant amount of my time, arguing, and having the staff contact the manager before they finally agreed to honor their original word and remove the second night's fee. Even though they eventually corrected the mistake, you shouldn't have to fight management just to get the price you were promised. Furthermore, the per-night fee is entirely unjustified—the hotel provides zero pet amenities or designated relief areas, forcing me to walk my dog on the surrounding streets around a large homeless population. Word of advice: If you stay here with a pet, be very careful. Demand a printed receipt at check-out and review every single line item in detail before you leave the lobby, or you will end up with costly surprises.

Nice, clean rooms. Could not hear any guests in room next to us. Good water flow and temp from the shower (a highlight for me). Way above the average breakfast buffet.. it was actually very good and a lot of options. It is only 10 bucks if you pay ahead of time and yeah, for that price vs McDs, a lot better! And you are next to a handful of other places to eat, safe neighborhood so you can comfortably walk. For us, this was a get-out-of-the-house night, not actually a vacation (so a stay-cation). But a very good location that puts you near NASA, not far from Kemah and not far from 45. Highly recommend.

If there was a way to give a negative review. Had planned a nice Valentine's day dinner for my wife and I, and my best friend and his wife. Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. First room we checked into smelled of raw sewage. They moved us to another room. We them learned that there was no hot water in the hotel. Moving forward to Saturday morning, around 11 am, still no hot water. Hot was was back on, kinda around 5:30 pm Saturday night. We went out for dinner, came back to the hotel, guess what. No elevator, no hot water, no AC. Worst hotel ever.

I had previously stayed here and had a decent stay, however this last time was awful. I spoke to two people and they both were friendly but I assume just to avoid angering anyone. The bathroom smelt like sewage which ended up making the room itself smell. We were unable to shower or brush our teeth because it was that bad. I asked both employees to come up to smell and both declined. They offered no solution and said unfortunately I had to stay there. The employees told me to reach out to them in the morning to work something out, but the hotel declined any sort of assistance in it. It was the most unhygienic trip. I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt and didn’t escalate anything, my mistake.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Holiday Inn Houston-Webster, an experience defined by administrative incompetence and a startling lack of property maintenance. My journey began with a proactive, early reservation for a King Suite. Having secured a competitive "early bird" rate directly through the hotel’s own platform, I expected a seamless arrival. Instead, at 8:00 AM on the day of my check-in—while I was occupied at work—the hotel left a voicemail informing me they had "overbooked" my suite. Despite booking directly, the staff claimed an inability to determine how the system allowed the reservation, a transparent deflection of responsibility. The initial "solution" offered was insulting: a referral to a sister property three minutes away at nearly double my original rate. Upon returning their call, the alternative provided was a "downgrade" to a standard room at the same price as my original suite—a gesture that was less an accommodation and more a leveraged ultimatum, given the lack of notice. The Room Conditions: Having no other choice, I accepted the standard room, only to find the accommodations were in a state of advanced decay. The room was "dingy" in the most literal sense: Lighting: The space was cavernous and dim, as only a single lamp was functional. Furniture: The armchair was visibly grimy, featuring a significant structural collapse in the center that rendered it unusable. Cleanliness: The entire unit felt neglected. From the pervasive layer of age to the lack of basic upkeep, it is evident that this property has bypassed several necessary renovation cycles. It is rare to encounter a hospitality team that manages to fail so spectacularly at both the reservation desk and the housekeeping department. If you value professional reliability and a sanitary environment, I suggest looking elsewhere. This property is desperately overdue for a deep clean and a total renovations. I am staying there tonight 4/4/26. Unfortunately, I didn't white down the staff I spoke with on the phones name.
