    Upon arriving, Hotel parking lot and lobby were very professional and clean. Check in was quick and easy. The young lady at the front desk, Shaney (dont know if I spelled it right but she pronounced it "Shane-E" ) was over the top! She went above and beyond, my 4 yr old daughter said she wanted to be way up....SHANEY PUT US ON THE TOP, 4TH FLOOR! and she even granted a super special (to my 4yr old) request when she easily could have said" I'm sorry but its not avaliable." The room was super comfy and clean. Grabbed a bacon cheese burger and fries for my daughter and I , my son had the shrimp tacos from the grill for dinner and it was delicious and comparable in cost to surrounding eating establishments. The menu is limited but decent. The gentlemen in the grill was personable and very nice. Seems to be in a safe area. We Ran to the gas station( you can literally see from the hotel) and grabbed snacks and the gentleman there was nothing but super nice. Im extremely pleased with our stay and my hotel loving 4 yr old was over the moon! Thank you Shaney and Holiday Inn for a superb experience!

    I never got to stay at the hotel because we were stranded in Tennessee due to the snow/ice storm Fern. My flight was already canceled by the Airline. Called the hotel todd them the situation and was told to call Expedia. Spoke to Expedia and was told it's up to the property to approve the date change. Expedia worked on my situation called me back and said the property denied my request to change the dates! This was a act of nature beyond my control and I was not asking for a refund, my company meeting changed to February so I wanted to change my reservation to February. They said my refund was denied which I never asked for.

    everything was amazing. The beds were so comfortable. The bathroom and shower was nicely clean. Best hotel i ever stayed in.

    Absolutely the worst IHG Holiday Inn I've stayed at. Service wad lacking in all aspects. Restaurant was slow with everything, bartender did not know how to make any drinks to the point I was told they only had wine and beer and I had to teach the "bartender" how to make a vodka soda. The soda water and all the other sodas were flat for 3 nights and nobody knew how to change it. Room was never made just towels put in room. If that is the process NO one during check in told me. The night manager if you can call her that was lost half the time and never at the desk. People were waiting and trying to find her. I was also never told of the change in billing and only found out while looking at my bank account. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have stayed at many Holiday Inns including England, Canada and throughout the U.S. and this is by far the worst experience. Do not recommend at all. My next time in Houston I will definitely look at other hotel brands, big let down from IHG! If I can score less than one star I would.

    Breach of Contract and Last-Minute Venue Change—Legal Action Pending I had a signed agreement with Holiday Inn Houston NW – Beltway 8 for an event scheduled August 22–24, 2025. Despite repeated attempts to confirm the reservation, I received no meaningful response until the night before the event—just 12 hours prior—when I was abruptly informed via text (see screenshot) that my event was being moved to a different hotel. This was not a minor adjustment—it was a complete venue change with no time to notify attendees or adjust logistics. The manager also stated in writing (see second screenshot) that she would personally pay the $1,400 fee for the new venue. That payment was not made in time, leaving me scrambling to secure access and nearly without a space altogether. The front desk failed to distribute the flyer I provided, and many guests went to the wrong location. This was a clear breach of contract and caused significant financial and reputational damage. I am now preparing to take legal action against the property for failure to honor the agreement and for the disruption it caused. I strongly advise others to avoid booking events at this location—there is no reliability, no accountability, and no respect for professional commitments.
