We stayed Black Friday night headed to Galveston for a cruise. Staff was very friendly. The room was nice. We had no idea that breakfast wasn’t included and were shocked to be handed a ticket for $30 for 2. It was a good continental style breakfast but no continental breakfast is worth $30, for watered down juice and dry cold potatoes… I usually stay at Comfort Inns so I didnt know that Hilton had different room rates for breakfast included or not.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, and I must say, the experience was truly delightful! From the moment we checked in, Ms. Apple made us feel incredibly welcome. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail were evident as she greeted my son warmly and took the time to walk us through the hotel amenities and breakfast hours.
Ms. Apple went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. Her ability to make guests feel at home truly sets her apart, and it's staff members like her that enhance the overall experience at Hilton Garden Inn.
The amenities were excellent, and everything from the room comfort to the breakfast service was top-notch. I appreciate the efforts of all the staff to maintain such high standards.
Thank you for a memorable stay! We look forward to returning soon and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Great staff but the rooms are dated and need some refreshing. There are marks on the walls, stains on the mattress, carpet is stained and worn. My room had a small section drywall paper hanging from ceiling I stayed here on my way to a cruise from Galveston. It wasn’t a bad stay but not what I expect of a Hilton Garden Inn. A renovation would be a great thing for this dated and worn location.

Stayed one night with large group pre-cruise in late September 2024. Jose the manager on duty did a great job getting everyone checked-in as it was A LOT of people at once. He also got our breakfast vouchers sorted out easily so everyone could get breakfast in the AM which was part of our group rate. We did all use the free shuttle service from the airport to hotel. That was a bit of a hassle as we had a very large party so had to wait for the bus to come a few times but it was expected. The shuttle driver was really nice and helpful and got us all crammed in at our request on the 2nd pick-up! The only real compliant was the outside doors were all messed up (they were waiting for repairs) so we had some issues using stairwell (I hate elevators) and the swimming pool entrance as we just wanted a bit of sun after the plane trip. Overall very happy with our 1 night stay. Rooms were clean and big spot in the lobby to sit and enjoy everyone's company.

Mediocre at best. The AC in our room made a loud rattling sound all night that made it impossible to sleep. The shower doesn’t have great water pressure, but at least the water is hot. The beds were not comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and of course this hotel is right next to the airport, which are the only redeeming qualities.
