We stayed at this hotel with my husband and our 13-month-old baby after reading the reviews and expecting a decent experience. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations.
The first thing we noticed was the strong smell of cleaning products in the lobby. It felt overpowering and gave the impression of cheap cleaning chemicals rather than a pleasant hotel environment.
The room itself was fine at first. However, starting around 1:00 a.m. and continuing until almost 3:00 a.m., we could clearly hear the couple in the room next door. There were loud noises, banging against the wall, intimate sounds, and conversations that were easily audible through the walls. The lack of soundproofing made it very difficult to rest.
When we mentioned this at checkout, the front desk employee told us that we should have called and they could have either spoken to the guests or moved us to another room. However, that misses the point. The real issue is that the walls are so thin that guests should not be able to hear that level of detail from neighboring rooms in the first place.
As parents traveling with a young child, we found this especially disappointing. If our baby had woken up crying at 3:00 a.m., the guests next door would have had to listen to us as well. That goes both ways and highlights the poor sound insulation throughout the hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel for families. It may be acceptable for a quick overnight stay if you do not mind hearing noise from neighboring rooms, but it was not the comfortable family-friendly experience we were expecting.

You are immediately hit with a strong musky smell at arrival. The smell carries through the whole facility, but luckily not as bad in the room. For a fairly new building, it’s not being maintained. The hallways were muggy and hot. The AC in the room is loud and has a continuous on and off click all night. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everyone coming and going. The building is right next to the freeway, so you hear traffic, loud exhausts, emergency response vehicles, etc. all day/night. Check in was easy, front desk person just existed and went through steps of process. It was only a 2 night stay, thank goodness. Location was okay. I would not recommend this hotel.

Disappointed - As soon as you enter the room it smelled like mold - the not properly washed clothes type smell. It was strong. Even worse in the bathroom- there must be a water leak
Room was loud from outside freeway noise, weird sticker film on the windows, curtains were in disrepair
Bed and pillows were not too comfy didn’t have good sleep
Staff was very nice. Good location if you’ve got something in the area. Otherwise it’s far from rest of houston.

The room had a musky smell. The Air Conditioner had a weird sound that kicked off and on all night. Only 1 elevator working while I was there. I did not report any of this to front desk because I stay in a lot of hotels for work and you come across crappy ones sometimes. I usually just move along. But I'm writing this review because in addition to all of that, this hotel charged me $30 for towels that they say I ruined. They provided pictures of what looked like blood or makeup stained towels and said that they were ruined. I don't use any strange products and I didn't have an injury. I tried to explain this; that there must be some mistake. Never in my 20+ years of staying at hotels have I been charged for towels. They refused to refund the money. I have already initiated a chargeback so they're not going to get the money anyway but figured others should know about this extremely poor experience. I would never stay at this property again.

Don’t stay here if you want to swim in indoor pool not heated & extremely cold with a/c pool area 70 degrees, room a/c rattles and worked at 71 but not 72, 73 on auto would not come on. Wall USB to charge phones not adequate. Walls thin heard conversations next door. Windows filthy black spots all over. Breakfast marginal.
