I am submitting this complaint to request an immediate investigation into Days Inn – West Energy Corridor due to serious safety, sanitation, and conduct concerns I personally experienced during a four-day stay.
The conditions at this property were unsafe and unsanitary, including:
• Roach infestation
• Lack of hot water
• Unclean rooms and common areas
• Homeless individuals sleeping in hallways and stairwells, obstructing safe passage and raising security concerns
In addition to physical conditions, I experienced and observed conduct that raised grave concerns. Staff behavior toward me was inappropriate and exploitative in nature, making me feel unsafe. Management practices—specifically under a manager named Edward—appeared deceptive and coercive, including unexplained rate increases far above posted pricing and actions that resulted in guests being removed and unable to retrieve personal belongings.
I also witnessed racist behavior by an employee and what appeared to be discriminatory practices related to renting and availability.
The overall environment felt chaotic, unregulated, and dangerous. Based on my experience, I am deeply concerned that this property may be operating outside acceptable legal and safety standards. The conditions and conduct observed warrant review for:
• Health and sanitation violations
• Consumer fraud and deceptive pricing
• Guest safety and security compliance
• Possible civil rights concerns
I am requesting that the appropriate departments conduct a full inspection and investigation of this property. In its current state, it should not be operating as a lodging facility open to the public.
Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
Sincerely, John McCabe

The room was cleaned, the problem was the bathroom…the shower-head was TERRIBLE! The water was turning from hot to cold every minute! They need new shower heads. The bathroom door was unable to lock. The microwave needs a change. Don’t get me started with “breakfast”! There were only mini muffins, couple juices and two choices of cereals! The second floor smelled like marijuana and I had my baby with me. Also the third floor had children running so much in the upstairs room from 9pm to 4am that it kept on waking up my baby! Thank goodness I went up and politely asked them to stop and they did! So grateful for that. Needs a lot change in that hotel. There is a lot of area where you can find food in that location.

I'm new in town and have been 2 4 other hotels while I'm in transition and this has been the best place my 2 daughters and I have come to so far. I love that there is breakfast in the morning and their rooms are clean and well designed. And also SK the concierge has been a pleasure each time I came to check in. I have returned at least 3 times and would love to come more often

I am submitting this complaint to formally document a deeply disturbing and unacceptable experience at Days Inn – West Energy Corridor, where I stayed for four days.
During my stay, I encountered conduct by staff that I perceived as highly inappropriate and exploitative, including implications that room rates and fees could be influenced through non-professional, sexualized interactions. This behavior made me feel unsafe and should never occur in any lodging establishment.
The management practices were predatory and deceptive. The advertised rate was approximately $45 plus tax, yet I was charged $120 per day without legitimate justification. The on-site manager, Edward, was hostile, aggressive, and unprofessional. In my experience, he arbitrarily increased rates, attempted to extract additional funds, and created circumstances that resulted in guests being removed and barred from returning. When this occurred, personal belongings were withheld or went missing. This conduct appeared intentional and financially exploitative.
The property conditions were alarming:
• Active roach infestation
• No hot water
• Unsanitary rooms and common areas
• Extremely poor breakfast quality
• Homeless individuals sleeping in hallways and stairwells, creating safety concerns
I also personally witnessed racist behavior by an employee, as well as what appeared to be discriminatory practices related to renting and availability.
This property operates in a manner that feels unsafe, unethical, and potentially unlawful. The overall environment raised serious concerns about guest safety and the possibility of broader misconduct occurring on the premises. At minimum, this reflects a complete failure of oversight, management, and compliance with basic hospitality and safety standards.
I am requesting:
• A formal internal investigation
• A full audit of charges and rate practices
• Written clarification of your policies regarding staff conduct and guest property
• Appropriate disciplinary action where warranted
No guest should be subjected to the conditions or treatment I experienced. This location is a liability to your brand and a danger to the public if allowed to continue operating as it currently does.
Sincerely, Wagner M Anthony

I like that the location was near eating, groceries stores, etc. It is almost perfect. Room clean and provides you basic necessities, microwave, TV, fridge, bed. My only complaint with room was bathroom water pressure in shower and temperature too cold. I prefer hot showers. Also upon exiting elevator on 3rd floor carpets out dated and not cleaned. I 🙁 before entering room. I became nervous of what's next. I must say room was spotless clean so I felt sigh of relief. Location I stayed was 7111 Rancho Mission in Houston, TX. Desk service was nice & pleasant.
