I feel the need to raise a serious warning to anyone considering this hotel. My experience was beyond unacceptable. Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston / West Energy Corridor is in a state of neglect, filth, and decay, and absolutely not worth your money or peace of mind. Filthy hallways and nauseating smells: From the entrance to the second floor where I stayed, the carpets are filthy, soaked with bad smells, and clearly haven’t been vacuumed in ages. Trash, worn clothes, paper cups, even garbage bins are left right in front of room doors and near the elevators. On my floor, garbage bins were piled up in a corner, as if I were in a back alley — not a hotel. Presence of animals despite restrictions: Dogs barked loudly in the hallways, even though pets are supposedly not allowed. The smell and noise made it feel like they had relieved themselves on the carpets. The room itself – dirty and unprepared: I arrived at 1:00 p.m. and was told the room wasn’t ready (despite check-out being at noon). When I finally got in, the room was still dirty and uncleaned. There were animal hairs on the armchair, no bedside tables, lamps sitting directly on the floor, and furniture visibly broken or missing. Even the headboard above the bed was removed, leaving dirt and marks on the wall. Bathroom in unacceptable condition: The hairdryer was broken and scorched, sink and tub drains were missing, and black stains were visible inside the toilet. The showerhead was covered in thick limescale buildup, showing zero cleaning effort. Malfunctioning infrastructure: The elevator often malfunctioned — you press the button, it pretends to move, but you’re still on the same floor. Windows throughout the building were dirty, smeared, and covered in dead bugs. Exterior of the hotel – an eyesore: Between parked cars there were trash bins, old bottles, scattered waste, and a rusty abandoned bus next to the building. It looked more like a dump than a hotel. Lobby chaos and fake renovation excuse: At the front desk, boxes are stacked everywhere. They claim this is for renovation — but nothing shows that any work is being done. These boxes look like they’ve been sitting there for months. Final conclusion: This place is not a hotel — it feels like a temporary shelter or halfway house. I saw people exiting rooms like they live there full-time. It’s unsanitary, loud, poorly managed, and overall disturbing. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Even at a low rate, it’s a complete waste of money. Don’t be fooled by the photos or listings — I urge anyone reading this to stay far away.

Terrible place! Don't stay here. Our story... we came in late around 9pm-ish. Got our key and when we reached the hall to our room we were met with 3 yellow caution stands because of standing water. It was a flood. Walked through the water to get to our room and the room had not been cleaned! Apparently the whole floor was blocked off and rooms were not cleaned well. Stains on the sheets, mold in the toilet, a dead roach in the shower/tub. Just did not look like it was prepared for the next guests. We immediately went back down and waited for about 30-40 minutes for our turn, and then asked for another room. They said they had no other rooms, so we asked for a refund and the front desk attendant said you should get a refund but that he could not get give. He said only manager can give it. We went to another hotel that night. After working through Hotels.com and hotels.com contacting them for over a week, the manager just said "no" refund. Never stay here. You will regret it.

This is more of a traphouse than a hotel. Full of druggies. Very unsafe. If for some reason you have to stay here, Refuse any room on the second floor. It stinks there. Room is filthy. Mold authoritatively grows on everything. The floor is nasty. Owner does not care anymore. But really, don't go there. There are several other actual hotels.

There's an extensive odor of fresh paint for the room that I was assigned to on the second floor and this causes me to aerating it by opening the window. Besides this problem has no sound and the movement of the video is more like 3 frames a second very slow. Furthermore the sofa has two giant holes on it and makes it look like somebody was destroying it on purpose. The floor seems to be a little sticky. All across the USA every time I see an Indian desk clerk my heart stops a few seconds because when I get into the room is always in bad condition. This means the Indian owner is camping on cleaning and or replacing needed items. I'm giving it to out of five stars because of all these shortcomings. My niece would even give it a lower rating at one star.
