We stayed at this hotel during the FIFA World Cup, and overall we had a pleasant experience. The hotel is large and has a unique architectural design—it almost looks like it is floating on the water. The location is excellent and very convenient. One feature we especially enjoyed was the indoor water area with live fish, which creates a relaxing and cozy atmosphere and gives the hotel its own unique character. That said, the hotel is starting to show its age. Our room was clean but felt outdated and could definitely benefit from renovation. It is a good and comfortable hotel, but I would not describe it as a luxury property. My biggest disappointment was after checkout. I booked the stay through Chase Travel, and although the stay was fully paid, the hotel did not provide any receipt or proof of stay after we checked out. I believe guests should receive proper documentation regardless of the booking platform they used. Overall, this is a good hotel with an excellent location, interesting architecture, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, updating the rooms and improving the post-stay customer service would make the experience even better.

I had a great experience at the Hyatt Regency. I was there as part of bridal party. I accidentally left a personal item in my room, and thanks to the staff, I was able to retrieve it back a couple days later. I especially want to recognize Franck, who went out of his way to help me even though it wasn't his department. He connected me with housekeeping and the front desk, followed through, and made sure I was taken care of. Thank you, Franck, and the entire team, for the excellent service!

I had an amazing time at the Black Gold Bar inside of the Hyatt Regency Houston West. Noor was an awesome bartender. She has a great personality and she made my night a lot of fun. The place has a great vibe and an amazing atmosphere. Franck is also an awesome person and his menu recommendations are trustworthy and on point. Noor made my drinks perfect! This is my second time here and will definitely be back again!

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I say that from the perspective of someone who has traveled extensively around the world and spent an entire career in customer service. I understand that mistakes happen, but what matters is how they’re handled. Unfortunately, this hotel failed at every opportunity. My only request was a handicap-accessible room with a walk-in shower for my 87-year-old mother. It should have been a simple accommodation. Instead, after nearly an hour and a half, I was still trying to get the correct room. We were assigned two different rooms, neither of which was handicap accessible—they both had standard bathtubs. To make matters worse, my elderly mother had already walked a considerable distance to the first room, and I had completely unloaded my vehicle before discovering the mistake. We then had to return to the front desk, where I waited another 45 minutes while Jason, the front desk employee, spent nearly an hour assisting another guest without ever resolving my issue or offering a meaningful solution. At that point, I simply placed the room key on the counter, asked for the manager’s contact information, requested that my reservation be canceled, and left. I checked into The Moran instead, where the difference in professionalism, customer service, and overall quality was immediately obvious. Based on my experience, this property appears to be understaffed, inadequately trained, and lacking the communication and problem-solving skills necessary to provide the level of service guests should expect. I cannot recommend staying here, especially if you or a family member requires accessible accommodations.

What an amazing place for a very close staycation. The hotel is nicely done, some parts feel like they need an update but overall it’s a great place. Above your regular hotel. The pool area is legit. The cafe severs a great variety of breakfast. I would suggest paying the bed and breakfast option when choosing your room. The buffet along is $26 per person.
