Once again Tookie's took care of our family's gets together and provided delicious food for the occasion. The outdoor decorations for the upcoming 4th of July were a nice touch along with the big chair inside. The waiter, the restaurant, and restrooms, were excellent and clean. So with all that said about how great it was I will put in my 2 cents about what I would do to give it the extra "wow!" factor. I would use that extra room under the entrance and towards the parking lot to make a playground/ photo spot area for families to play with kids or take a few extra memory photos with the family. Maybe even a large tall tower, somewhere on property, with telescopes to view the surrounding water and Kemah area.

We were seated right away. The waitress took our drink and appetizer order promptly. She was very kind. We never had to ask for refills. Our main entre was delicious. The ambiance was family friendly environment.

Looove Tookies Seafood! The wait staff was great, food was excellent and portions were more than we expected.
My husband and son had cheese sticks for an appetizer and the cheese pull was pretty impressive! That's important.
Everything we ordered was very well prepared and we enjoyed everything!

I have eaten here a handful of times in the past but I have to say this time was the best meal I've had by far. The oysters were top-notch and exactly what I had envisioned. And the salad was a surprise. Not only did it look appealing, it tasted great and it's something I would definitely be back for.

After almost ten years, since its Grand opening, I finally decided to Return for a To Go order. Since, I was only semi hungry I only needed a burger and fries. Which accessibility inside here or into their parking lot is Not an easy lot. I remember the elevator they had installed, which is unique to this restaurant on stilts. I always wondered why they just didn't build, the restaurant as an upstairs and a downstairs as one restaurant. And uniquely for the climate changes for the Gulf, like a hurricane, flooding from the aftermath.
However, I was in a need for a challenge today in order to find my burger in this coastal area, after stopping by Tookies hamburgers in Kemah. Since their water main was shut off, due to a break, I received a coupon, to eat at any of their chain restaurant and neighbor, TBone Toms, which started my lunch adventure towards Seabrook.
Overall, their only burger choice at TS, was called a Mesquite Grilled Burger. It was not a perfect choice by me here. It was bland for my taste. Best to have tried the Beach Boys Po'Boys or the Fried Cod sandwich, or their Treehouse Tacos. All those sound tastier on their menu.
Another thing about these menu items is they don't include their soups, sandwiches and salads with different portions or combinations on their lunch menu. Which is kind of a no brainer, since most working folks independently, only wish to eat those types of foods during their short allotted time frame.
Although I spent barely under $20 for one person, I'll chalk it up as an adult adventure today. Maybe, next time!
