Being married to a chef has spoiled me to the point that my palate cannot enjoy simple places I once used to frequent or simple meals I once found charming and delicious in their simplicity. I say that to say that my pictures show what I ordered but the star review shows what I thought mostly of the food. Overall, it is basic Latin food with little seasoning but priced as though you were eating at a cantina and were too drunk to notice the price.

Would say it’s a little pricey but portions are big. Don’t eat colombian food often but food was okay and homemade feeling. Empanadas were the best!!!

I really like this place more for the service and atmosphere than the food. My party agreed that the food could have been more flavorful. We ordered the following...
1 La Bandeja Paisa - the beans could have been more flavorful. They were plain. La Carne asada was plain and tough.
2. El Trio- the chicharron was nice, crispy but soft.
3. Sopa de Mondongo - No complaints, it came with a lot of rice, so a plus imo
4. Arepa con todo - the Carne asada lacked flavor and was tough.
5. The empanadas were great! And the salsa, Aji, they come with was delicious too.
So as before, the service was great, just like the atmosphere, but the food brought the whole experience down.

The food is great, and very convenient, and a big variety of dishes.

This place has been on my radar for a couple years. Today was the day we finally gave them a try, after trying their Colombian cuisine I thought i should have gotten here sooner. My wife loved her fajita de pollo, came with fried plantains, rice and beans, the chicken fajitas had strips of bell pepper and onions. I loved the Bandeja Montanera, grilled top inside round beef steak, a seasoned strip of fried pork belly, a fried egg on top of a mound of rice, red beans and a slice of avocado. They do a lunch menu monday thru friday from 11 am to 3 pm. You can get the lunch menu, both things we ordered were from the lunch menu, for a couple dollars more, any day, any time after lunch hours. We shared everything as always.....including an Empanada de Res, filled with beef, potato and rice, with a corn shell/crust, fried up to a golden crisp. I think every country in Central and South America has their version of the empanada. Very nice people and great food. We will be back.
