Dale called me when their sod had been delivered. I really appreciate that kind of customer service. Their sod is good quality and the price is better than other places.

I bought several thousand dollars in pavers from EDS a few years ago and was happy. So when my usual mulch supplier was unavailable this year I tried ordering mulch from EDS. I ordered 5 cubic yards of pine mulch for $250 plus delivery fee. I’ve ordered mulch for many years from other suppliers so I know what mulch should look like.
What I received from EDS is already almost fully broken down into dirt. It doesn’t smell like pine at all, it smells like dirt. The largest chip I found in the whole pile is smaller than my pinky finger. I use mulch to prevent weed growth along my paths, but with this I’ll be pulling weeds all year.
I was convinced they must have grabbed from the wrong pile so I called them and they asked me to send some pictures. When I did, the man said “maybe they put it through the shredder more than once but that’s the right product.” He said he’d have his manager call me back on Monday but that was over a week ago and I’ve never heard from anyone.
So two strikes, one on this useless gigantic dirt “mulch” pile in my driveway and two for not calling back like they said they would.

I mostly buy edging stone at EDS. It's reasonably priced and the sales folks are helpful and friendly.
